Privacy Policy

The short version
CrissCross doesn't collect, store, or share any personal information. It works fully offline, has no account or sign-up, shows no ads, and every purchase is a one-time unlock processed by Apple. The rest of this page spells that out in more detail.
Information we collect
None. CrissCross doesn't ask you to create an account, doesn't include analytics or tracking software development kits, and doesn't show ads. There's no sign-up screen and nothing to type in, so there's no personal information for us to collect in the first place.
The app does need one thing from your device: permission to check the App Store for your purchases, so unlocked categories stay unlocked. That check is handled entirely by Apple. CrissCross never sees the result.
Children's privacy
CrissCross is built for kids roughly ages 8–12, so we've designed it to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) the simplest way we know how: by not collecting any personal information from anyone, including children. There are no accounts, no chat, no user-generated content, and no way for a child to enter their name, location, or any other personal detail into the app.
In-app purchases
CrissCross uses one-time, non-subscription purchases. You can unlock a category bundle (or everything at once) with a single payment, and it's yours for good. There's no recurring billing and nothing to cancel.
Every purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. CrissCross never sees or stores your card number, billing address, or any other payment details. Apple's own privacy policy covers that part.
Where your data lives
Which puzzles you've solved syncs through your iCloud account on purpose, so your progress carries over if you delete and reinstall CrissCross, or open it on another device signed into the same Apple ID. That sync goes straight to your own iCloud account, not to a CrissCross . We never see or have access to that data.
Everything else (your chosen color theme, medal drawings, and how far you've gotten mid-puzzle) is saved only on that one device, and won't survive deleting the app or carry over to another device. If you ever want a clean slate, Reset All Progress in Settings clears your solved-puzzle history everywhere, including the iCloud copy and any other device signed into the same Apple ID.
Changes to this policy
If anything about how CrissCross works ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. We'd only expect that to happen if we added a feature that works differently from the app described here.
